About Us

Our history…

In 1963, Edward and Michael O’Hara established E & M O’Hara Electrical Contractors, and soon developed an outstanding reputation for expert service and superior workmanship at a fair price. Today, a second generation of the O’Hara family is dedicated to carrying on the family tradition.

At O’Hara, we’ve always had a hands-on approach to our business. Our main goal is customer satisfaction.

Our longevity is based on three core values – experience, reputation and performance. We are licensed and fully insured. Our fleet of fully equipped and manned service trucks is ready to perform any installation or repair. With two-way radios in our service vehicles and office, we can handle any emergency promptly. From start to finish, we deliver quality work performed by professionals who focus on a job done right.

…our business today…

While we are saddened by the passing of Michael O’Hara in 2009, the O’Hara tradition continues with the next generation of the O’Hara family. Edward Sr. oversees the business as President and CEO. Edward’s son, Ed Jr., is a licensed electrician and graduate of The Catholic University of America and VP of Operations. He supervises our team of expert electricians and oversees estimating, project bids and customer care. Edward’s daughter, Kelly Ann Daly, who has a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University, serves as Treasurer and CFO, managing the company’s business operations.

Together with our superior office staff, including Jim Austin, our Office Manager, Mary Crutchfield, our Accounts Payable Manager, and Francine Breland, our Executive Administrator, and our crew of expert electricians, the E & M team has the knowledge, expertise and experience to handle all of your electrical needs.

…and our professional and community involvement
